Glynn County, Georgia was established in 1777, the county name originated from St David and St Patrick Parishes. The county was named after John Glynn (1722 – 79), British Member of Parliament and Serjeant-at-law, who was sympathetic with the cause of American independence. Glynn County has a total area of 422 square miles, with a total population of 81022 residents (and a population density of 192 residents per square mile).
